Search Instructions/Tips for the FREE Search Options:

Searching for a particular company

• To use the freeERISA.com Search page, you must search by at least one of the following: Company Name (starts with or contains), State, Zip Code.
  
  
• If you are searching for a ZIP code, you do not need to specify the state.
  
  
• Simply select the type of search using the radio buttons provided (Search for "Company Name Starts With" or "Company Name Contains"), and then type in the Name in the box underneath. If you do not know, or are not sure about the full name of the company, select the "Company Name Contains" radio button, and you can enter any part of the name in the box underneath.
  
  
• The contains type of search works best with one word.
  
  

Searching for a group of companies

• You can further limit your search by state or zip code, if you wish. Use the pull down menu to choose the specific state you wish to search, or type from 3 to 5 digits of the zip code you wish to search.
  
  
• If you type in fewer than 5 digits of a zip code, you will get a larger range of results, e.g., 2085 will return zip codes 20850, 20851, 20852, 20853, 20854, 20855, 20856, 20857, 20858 and 20859.
  
  

Search Instructions/Tips for the PREMIUM Search Options:

• To search by a type of pension plan, simply select the plan type (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, or Other) and then choose a specific plan feature from the drop down.
  
  
• To search by Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), simply select the MSA type (MSA, PMSA, or CMSA) and then choose the specific region from the dropdown. You cannot search for both a ZIP code and a MSA.
  
  
• To search by total assets or total participants, enter a range in the fields provided.
